Location:
The course will take place at a rural lodge situated in Vysočina highland. This is the land of picturesque villages and
welcoming taverns, situated in the vicinity of rivers Svratka and Chrudimka, the
paradise of many famous painters such as A. Slavíček, A. Chittussi and others. The
lodge is facing a pond and is surrounded by beautiful fields, meadows and forests,
making it a place of great inspiration for all who choose to stay here.
Painting tools:
Watercolor paints - ideally Czech paints in cubes or Russian paints. While
is possible to use children’s watercolors, you will find their quality to be a bit lacking. Alternatively,
it is possible to use acrylic and/or oil paints instead.
Paintbrushes should cover
the range of flat 20 mm, 10 mm, 5 mm, 2 mm and thin 0-1 mm. Concerning drawing paper
or watercolor paper, you should bring those of at least
A3 size or larger. Other things to bring include easel
(not required, but it will
ease your work), Chinese ink, pen, pastels, Scotch tape, drawing
pad (complementing
your chosen paper size), folder, water container.
Food:
Individually. There is a restaurant nearby or you could choose to cooperate on setting
up a buffet.
Price: Accommodation is 200 CZK per person and night. Children of age 9 to 14 years pay only
half the course price.
Accommodation:
A fully restored lodge offers double and triple rooms along with a community kitchen,
an atelier and an attractive terrace. All bedrooms are fully furnished and feature
their own bathrooms and toilets. There is also a parking lot available with space for at
least 10 cars. Upon departure, attendees are expected to partipate in cleaning up
the community rooms.
